Dead body of a man discovered in Male'; autopsy to be conducted

The dead body of a man has been discovered in Male’ on Tuesday.

Police identified the deceased as Hussain Ahmed, 41, M. Thari Villa.

In a message to the media, the Police said a deceased individual being taken to Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH) was reported to the authority at approximately 9:53am this morning.

Police added that an autopsy will be conducted on the body to establish the cause of death.

The case is under investigation by the authority. They have not disclosed any further details.
