24.12 .24 – 52 marriages scheduled at Male' Family Court

Family Court states 52 marriages are scheduled for Tuesday in Male’.

Today’s date is 24. 12. 24, making it appealing.

As per information publicized by the Court, it will be officiating 16 marriages during official hours and 26 marriages during non-officials.

Other appealing dates throughout this year also saw a high number of marriages. In this regard, the second-highest number of marriages this year was on 24. 4. 24, accounting for 38 marriages.

The following four months recorded the highest number of marriages this year:

• May: 238 marriages
• July: 228 marriages
• February: 211 marriages
• October: 205 marriages

Family Court has previously said they will be officiating marriages on all days of the week next year, including weekends, due to increased demand.  Prior to this, the Court did not officiate weddings during weekends. While the demand remains high, the Family Court said it has already made arrangements to officiate weddings in those days accordingly.
