Police probe death threat against Islamic Minister Shaheem

The police said on Tuesday that they are investigating a death threat made against Islamic Minister Dr. Mohamed Shaheem Ali Saeed.

According to the police, the case was reported to the agency on Monday.

The police did not disclose any details, but said they were investigating the case.

The death threat against Shaheem comes as the police investigate a man for using his Facebook account to threaten to kill and harm multiple state officials, including President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu.

The suspect, Abdulla Miyadh, 40, G. Sansange Aage, K. Male’, was detained by the police on October 8, upon return to Male’ from overseas.
