Fahi Dhiriulhun Corporation (FDC) has signed an agreement to provide design services for the Maldives Hajj Corporation’s Naim Residence Project.

The agreement was signed on Tuesday by FDC’s Managing Director Hamdan Shakeel and Hajj Corporation’s Managing Director Mohamed Shakeel.

Under the terms of the agreement, FDC will provide architectural and engineering services, designs, and consultancy services for the project.

FDC said it is already providing such services under Memorandums of Understanding signed with the Islamic Ministry and Maldive Gas.

The corporation said it has been working to boost its revenue streams following a change in its mandate during its fifth anniversary celebration held back in May.

FDC said that the successful implementation of the initiatives will create more opportunities in the housing sector, and put the corporation on the path to becoming a profitable company.

FDC said it is working tirelessly to achieve this goal.

The main project undertaken by the FDC remains the project to develop the first 4,000 housing units in Hulhumale’ Phase II under the ‘Gedhoruveriya’ social housing scheme.

In an interview to SSTV earlier this month, Hamdan said the corporation expects to complete the project and finish handing over the last of the units before the end of July next year.
