MNU opens applications for research and book writing grants

Maldives National University (MNU) has opened applications for its biannual research grant program and book writing grant program.

According to MNU, its grant programs are designed to inspire the university’s staff and students to conduct research, build a culture of research-based academic findings, provide opportunities for people who wish to write books on various subjects.

The university provides grants of MVR 10,000-MVR 1 million for research and grants of MVR 10,000-MVR 100,000 for book writing.

Applicants are opened until November 9.

According to MNU, it has provided over MVR 18 million in grants for research and book writing. This includes over MVR 16.4 million for research and over MVR 2 million for book writing.

MNU said that academic findings are shared with relevant institutions and the community at large following each research – fulfilling the purpose of its grant programs.
