Motorcycles collide on Sinamale’ Bridge; female driver injured

Two motorcycles collided in an accident on the Sinamale’ Bridge on Sunday afternoon, leaving one of the motorcyclists injured.

The accident was reported to the police at around 12:57 pm Sunday.

A police spokesperson said the accident took place near the traffic light at the junction of Male’, Hulhumale’ and Hulhule’.

One of the motorcyclists sustained injuries in the accident and was taken to the Indhira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH). She was identified by the police as a Maldivian woman.

The police said that both motorcyclists involved in the accident were licensed drivers.

The accident is being looked into by the police.
