Zakat House spends over MVR 1 mil on medical assistance

 Maldives Zakat House has spent over MVR 1 million to provide medical assistance in June 2024.

Statistics provided by Zakat House showed it had spent a total of MVR 1,044,989.10 to provide medical assistance during the review month, while another MVR 870,957.53 of aid was arranged during the month, and provided financial support to 107 individuals.

Major Areas of Assistance

• Cancer: MVR 262,911.00

• Brain Surgery: MVR 124,580.53

• Kidney diseases: MVR 97,531.50

• Heart surgery: MVR 38,164.00

• Transplant: MVR 25,443.00

Besides this, Zakat House provided a total of MVR 322,327.50 to treat other diseases during the review month.

Zakat House additionally incurred another MVR 273,026.48 to facilitate remuneration of its employees.
