Man arrested for assaulting a woman with a rock

A man has been arrested from GA. Villingili in the early hours of Sunday for assaulting a woman with a rock.  

In a message to the media, the Police said they received a report of an assault in Villingili, in the early hours of Sunday, that saw a woman hit on her head with a rock.

A 32-year-old Maldivian man has been arrested in connection to the case.

Meanwhile, the victim was identified as a 46-year-old woman. She was treated for her injuries at Gaafu Alifu Atoll Hospital, however, has now been discharged home.

The case is under further investigation by the Police.
