Buildings, except for private houses in Vilimale', have been given permission to elevate to the structure to 10 stories.
With the seventh amendment to Male' Planning Regulation, building regulations were revised subsequently as well.
Despite permission for 10-story structures, the elevation should not exceed 30.48 meters. Additionally, this elevation is permissable for plot no less than 2,000 square feet.
For plots less than 2,000 square feet, the highest allowed elevation is six stories, but with a maximum allowed height of 54.134 meters.
Moreover, the regulation amendment provided additional provisions to consider in construction.
While building elevation for Vilimale' has been revised, the government is currently in discussions to revise the elevation for Hulhumale' infrastructure as well.
