Children's festival with fireworks in weekend

A special festival has been scheduled in Hulhumale' this weekend to commemorate the World Children's Day.

The Ministry of Social and Family Development confirmed via X, the two-day festival on Friday and Saturday is scheduled from 16:00hrs to 18:00hrs and again from 20:00hrs to 22:00hrs at Hulhumale' Central Park.

The festival will feature various games and activities for children, including story time, cake cutting and other stalls.

Additionally, popular children's mascot Roboman along with various vehicles from MNDF, Maldives Ports Limited (MPL) and Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC), are expected to make appearances at the event.

The festival will also feature a housing castle, Boduberu numbers, water fights, a movie night and fireworks.

The ministry is collaborating with Housing Development Corporation (HDC) and Ooredoo Maldives for the festival.
