Student loans to be granted to all eligible applicants

President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has made the decision to grant student loans to all eligible students who applied for the current scheme.

The decision was announced by Higher Education Minister Dr. Mariyam Mariya during the third session of ‘Ahaa’, a public forum of ministers, held on Monday night.

Applications for student loans for higher education opportunities overseas opened on March 28. The deadline was initially set to April 25, but was later extended to May 2.

The applications were opened for 500 slots in two categories; new students and students already enrolled in overseas programs.
