The President, citing capacity building as one of his Administration's top priorities, alongside infrastructural development, said the groundbreaking of a new school symbolized the commencement of the Administration’s capacity-building initiatives.

He also emphasized the need for capacity building as equivalent to infrastructural development, adding that as planned, he ensured that his first groundbreaking development project was to develop an educational facility.

Education Minister Ismail Shafeeu who also spoke at the ceremony said the new school will eliminate the difficulties faced by students residing in Hulhumale’ Phase II, referring to travel they had to undertake to either Phase I or Male’ City to attend schools.

“This symbolizes the love in his [President Muizzu] heart for students. It shows the priority the administration places on the education sector,” he added.
