Police seek to locate suspect to present before court in drug case

Police, on Thursday, said they a seeking to locate a suspect to be presented before the court in their custody in a drug-related case.

They identified the suspect as Ibrahim Azim, 32, H. Guraathunge, K. Male.

Police said they are seeking to locate Azim as the authority has been ordered by the Criminal Court to present him before the court at 9:30am on Sunday in connection to charges filed against him for trafficking and using cannabis.

Police have requested anyone with information regarding Azim to contact Police Custodial at 9991442.

In their announcement, Police extended gratitude to the public for the cooperation provided to the authority over such appeals.
