Police holds its 100th ‘Furaavaru’ camp in Milandhoo

Maldives Police Services conducts the 100th ‘Furaavaru’ camp under 8th programme of their Amaanveshi.

The camp started on Thursday, and ended on Sunday, targeting the adolescents of Milandhoo School. A total of 153 students took part in the camp. This includes 73 girls and 80 boys.

Furaavaru camp aims to enhance students awareness towards different things in life, and to prepare them for the real world. Lessons were conducted through various activities.

Some of the areas covered during the camp include prioritizing religion and engaging in religious activities, and also information on different laws and regulations pertaining to students.

Additionally, various disciplinary values such as respecting parents and elders, significance of punctuality, personal safety and hygiene were covered as well.  

Police noted that in addition to the camp for students, special session for parents on promoting talents were held. These were attended by 201 parents from the school.
