President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih in the early hours of Friday said that the rekindling of one's faith is the highest satisfaction gained from the month of Ramadan and called upon the public to stay firm on the path of Islam.
His remakes come as part of the official message from the President on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr 1444.
In the message, President Solih extended his warmest greetings and best wishes on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr to all Maldivian citizens. He also extended greetings to the leaders of Islamic countries, heads of Islamic organisations, and the Islamic Ummah.
Moreover, he emphasised the need to dissociate feelings of rivalry and envy from within and encouraged people to avoid commotion and unrest. He also prompted the people to promote forgiveness, be compassionate towards one another and strengthen efforts to mend broken relationships.
Furthermore, he stressed the importance of fortifying familial bonds on Eid by spending time with one's parents, family members, spouse, and children. He implored everyone to call on their friends and exchange Eid greetings while keeping in mind the needy, the underprivileged, and the destitute.
