British traveler drowns at Rasdhoo Madivaru dive point

A tourist has drowned at the Madivaru dive point, a popular hammerhead shark point, located east of AA. Rasdhoo.

Police said they received report of a tourist being transferred to the Rasdhoo Hospital after drowning at the Rasdhoo Madivaru dive point at around 09:12 am Monday.

The tourist was already deceased when taken to the hospital, said the police.

The police identified the deceased as a 46-year-old British man.

Police said they were looking into the incident.
