HDC seeks workers to clean and maintain security at Hiyaa flats

Housing Development Corporation (HDC) has opened applications for over 100 jobs to maintain the cleanliness and security at the Hiyaa housing project developed in Hulhumale’ Phase II.

HDC is seeking 136 workers, including 88 security assistants and 48 support staffs.

The monthly pay is MVR 10,500.

HDC has also invited interested candidates to attend the corporation’s Open Day, which will be held 04:00 pm to 06:00 pm and 08:00 pm to 10:00 pm on Friday, March 10, at the Kaamil Didi Primary School in Hulhumale’ Phase II.

HDC, which currently outsources the cleaning and maintenance of security at the Hiyaa flats, plans on moving the services in-house.

HDC’s PR manager Ahmed Mimrah told Sun that the corporation aims to offer greater employment opportunities to Maldivians.

He said that the job vacancies this time around are designated for the people who live in the Hiyaa area.

“The contract with the party that currently does the work will expire in the next one to two months. We do not plan on extending the contract,” he said.
