Donations to Turkey-Syria quake victims open via m-Faisaa

Ooredoo Maldives is offering customers the chance to make donations to help the victims of the devastating earthquake that hit Turkey and Syria last week through m-Faisaa.

According to Ooredoo, the opportunity is open for customers of any network.

The donations made via m-Faisaa will be provided to Turkey and Syria through the International Aid Campaign Maldives.

Customers of any network who wish to donate to help the victims of the earthquake that happened in Turkiye and Syria, can now easily donate via m-Faisaa.

The 7.8 magnitude earth quake struck 23 kilometers east of Nurdagi, in Turkey’s Gaziantep province, at a depth of 24.1 kilometers on February.

A series of aftershocks reverberated through the region in the immediate hours after the initial incident. A magnitude 6.7 aftershock followed 11 minutes after the first earthquake hit, but the largest temblor, which measured 7.5 in magnitude, struck about nine hours later. More than 125 aftershocks have been recorded so far.

The combined death toll from the earthquakes has risen to over 39,000.
