STELCO warns of possible service interruption in some Male’ areas tomorrow

State Electric Company Limited (STELCO) has warned of possible service interruption in some areas of Male’ City on Saturday as they undertake work to upgrade the distribution network.

Via a tweet on Friday, the utility company said that mandatory work pertaining to upgrading their distribution network will proceed on Saturday.

They detailed areas that may face service interruptions on Saturday morning between 8:00am and 11:00pm as Ameenee Magu, Buruzu Magu, Amina Rani Hingun. Rahdhebai Hingun, Lonuziyaarai Magu and Siththi Mavaa Higun.

The areas which may face power interruptions on Saturday afternoon between 2:00pm and 4:00pm were detailed as Iskandhar Magu and Badifasgan’dudhoshu Magu.

STELCO said that power will resume in those areas, if cut, as soon as the work is complete.

They apologized to customers for difficulties they may face due to service interruption.
