Ilm Institute has launched an advanced Arab language program.

According to Ilm Institute, the program was launched to promote Arab language within Maldivian community, and teach school students Arab language in a result-oriented manner.

Ilm Institute said that through the program, they hope to build a Maldivian generation capable of communicating in Arab language and understand the interpretation of the Holy Quran and Prophet Mohamed with ease.

The program, based on an international curriculum, targets students between ages seven and 16. The program will be held in 12 stages, and classes will be held five days a week.

According to Ilm Institute, students who complete the program will be able to use Arab language at an academic level.

Applications closes on November 26.

Ilm Institute’s Arabic Language and Islamic Department’s Director Mutheeu Ismail Mohamed told Sun that students will move from one level to the next once they achieve the requirements.

“There isn’t a fixed date to complete the program. We will give ranges, meaning students will need to complete each level within the range,” he said.

“Our hope is to build Maldivian generations well-versed in Arab language.”
