O’ Level exams kick off with over 8,000 students

O’ Level examinations have kicked off on Wednesday with over 8,000 students.

Education Ministry told Sun that the O’ Level examination is proceeding at a total of 267 examination centres across the nation: 21 from Male’ area and 246 from atolls.

A total of 8,218 students are sitting the exams this time around which will conclude on March 4th.

While students are sitting for O’ Level examinations in February and March this year following the change to the academic year, students sat for O’ Level examinations in April and May last year.

Schools reopened for the new academic year after the long holidays on Tuesday with over 80,000 students.

Notably, Education Minister Dr. Ismail Shafeeu has announced plans to add Quran d to the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) subjects starting next year.
