Sun-Baiskoafu partner to create new opportunities for local entertainers

Sun Media Group and Baiskoafu entered into a strategic partnership on Wednesday, aimed at creating more opportunities for local entertainers.

During a special ceremony held at Baiskoafu headquarters on Wednesday evening, the agreement was signed by CEO Ibrahim Khaleel and COO Mohamed Asif (Mondhu) on behalf of Sun Media Group. CEO, MD Mohamed Mirshan (Miroo) and Operations Director Abdulla Hafiz (Haappe) signed the agreement on behalf of Baiskoafu.

Under this partnership, both parties would promote the content of each other, collaborate on events and use the names of each other on the content of the parties respectively.

Commenting on the partnership, Mondhu, expressing excitement, said that the biggest aim was to contribute to the development of local entertainers. Mondhu cited another aim for the partnership to be creating new opportunities for local entertainers.

“(I) am very happy regarding this agreement. (Baiskoafu) is the most popular entertainment platform at present. Our hope is to collaboratively carry out work, by quantity and quality, for the development of local entertainers,” he had said.

Baiskoafu’s Creative Director Noora Rasheed described the execution of the agreement with Sun Media Group as a great opportunity.

“We hope to carry out a lot of work in collaboration with Sun, to bring about a positive change to the entertainment industry,” she added.

Currently hailing as the most popular local streaming platform – Baiskoafu has brought revolutionary changes to the Maldivian entertainment industry.

They are currently prepping for ‘Chanaachaa 2022’, a music festival scheduled for Friday, October 28. The artist line-up for the festival includes popular local artists and the Sri Lankan singer who rose to fame with ‘Manike Mage Hithe’, Yohani Diloka de Silva.
