Sun Siyam Media eyes new horizons after CAVA coverage

Sun Siyam Media’s successful coverage of the Central Asian Volleyball Association (CAVA) Men’s Champions League has paved the way for the company to enhance broadcasts of sports events, beyond volleyball, said Chief Executive Officer Mohamed Asif (Mondhu) on Thursday.

This marks Sun Siyam Media Group’s first major international sports event coverage. Matches from the tournament, held in Male, were broadcast on Sun Siyam Media’s platforms, reaching a million viewers.

Sun Siyam Media delivered international-standard coverage in a short timeframe. Expressing satisfaction with the coverage, Mondhu said the tournament has given him confidence in the company’s ability to provide top level of coverage of any sport event, adding that he had learned a lot.

“I extend my gratitude to CAVA and VAM President [Mohamed] Latheef for this opportunity. We have learned a lot from the tournament and our team is ready to do new things and offer new ways for other sports tournaments,” Mondhu said.

Mondhu said the tournament is proof that even better tournaments can be brought to the country. He also noted that the coverage received many people's love and praise.

"This is a great achievement to me and the entire team. As the chief executive, I am proud of the team," Mondhu said.

Sun Siyam Media Group’s staff actively participated in the league, making this the most successful volleyball tournament coverage in the company’s history.
