First Lady Fazna travels to Fuvahmulah City to partake in Older Persons Day festivities

First Lady Fazna Ahmed traveled to Fuvahmulah City on Wednesday evening to partake in the festivities of International Older Persons Day.

During this trip, she will participate in various activities organized to celebrate the day by Gender Ministry, Maldives Pension Administration Office, Maldives Police Service and Fuvahmulah City Council.

Gender Minister Aishath Mohamed Didi is accompanying First Lady Fazna on this trip.

She will conclude the visit and return to Male’ City on Saturday.

International Day of Older Persons is observed on October 1 each year by the United Nations. The theme of International Day of Older Persons 2022 is ‘Resilience of Older Persons in a Changing World’.
