Four gas cylinders on Whale Submarine explodes, no one injured

Four gas cylinders aboard the Whale Submarine exploded on Thursday night.

Four gas cylinders aboard on Whale Submarine situated off of Vilimale’ exploded on Thursday night.

Police said that officers in Maafannu Police Station and special constabularies stationed at Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH) reported hearing a loud noise from the direction of Vilimale’ at approximately 21:00pm tonight.

When the origin of the loud noise was inquired by the police – they said they learned of the explosion of four gas cylinders aboard on the submarine situated off of Vilimale’,

Police are currently active at the site.

An official from Whale Submarine confirmed to Sun that no one was injured in the accident. The official added that the submarine will be brought into operation within the next two days.
