Heaviest rainfall last 24 hours recorded in Kaadedhdhoo

The heaviest rainfall over the last 24 hours was recorded in GDh. Kaadedhdhoo, according to Maldives Meteorological Service.

Maldives Meteorological Service states 124.8 millimeters of rain fell on Kaadedhdhoo over the last 24 hours.

The heaviest rainfall this year was recorded in R. Alifushi, with 158.7 milliliters back in July.

Maldives Meteorological Service expects the bad weather to prevail across Maldives this week.

“Winds of 15-25 mph are expected in northern and central atolls, and 13-23 mph in southern atolls. Guests of 45 mph are expected,” said Maldives Meteorological Service.

A yellow alert for heavy rain, strong winds and very rough seas has been issued for northern and central atolls.

Maldives Meteorological Service has advised everyone, especially seafarers, to be cautious.
