Met Office: Fine weather expected across Maldives this week

Maldives Metrological Service (Met Office), on Monday, has anticipated that Maldives will be experiencing fine weather throughout this week.

An official from Met Office told Sun that although northern and central islands may experience isolated showers – generally fine weather is expected.

In this regard, the weather forecasting body said that showers will be experienced at night time.

Met Office detailed that northern and central islands will see winds of 8 – 18 mph. Meanwhile, southern islands will see winds of 3 – 10mph.

Seas are expected to be moderate, becoming rough during showers. Wave heights will measure between 3 – 5 feet.

Maldives experiences severe weather over the course of the last month. Many local islands were impacted by flooding due to rain and tidal surges during this period.
