STO’s radiography course students to be offered internships at ADK Hospital

State Trading Organization (STO) has executed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with ADK Hospital – for the provision of internships at the hospital for students undertaking the radiography course offered by the company.

The MoU was signed on Sunday, by STO’s General Manager Mariyam Nuzla and ADK Hospital’s Managing Director Ahmed Afaal.

Radiology is a branch of medicine that uses imaging technology to diagnose and treat disease. Radiographers are technical specialists that deliver and facilitate most radiological procedures such as x-rays, sound scans, MRIs and mammograms.

STO said that its ‘Diploma in Radiography’ course is set to commence on upcoming September. The course is accredited and approved by Maldives Qualifications Authority and Allied Health Council.

The company will be facilitating the course fee of the 25 students that will make up the first batch of the course. The course duration is two years and six months.

The classes under this course will be held at STO Training Institute, which was registered at the STO Trade Center in 2019, and the STO GE Skill Lab opened in June 2021.
