Island Aviation Service announced in a statement that the Maldives Civil Aviation Authority completed inspections and provided permission for the Maldivian Aviation Academy to operate on Sunday.

Inaugurated by Island Aviation Service in December last year, the Maldivian Aviation Academy is operated by the Flying Academy of Czech Republic.

35 students who completed a refresher program at the academy are set to begin flying on Saturday. 39 more students are currently taking part in the refresher program.

The Maldivian Aviation Academy is operated in compliance with the regulations of Maldives Civil Aviation Authority and the standards of European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA).
