MWSC sponsors MPS’s Community Safety Partnership Program

Male’ Water and Sewerage Company (MWSC) has sponsored ‘Community Safety Partnership Program’ conducted by Maldives Police Service to ensure a safer community by decreasing crimes and enhancing social awareness.

At a special ceremony held at Maldives Police Service headquarters on Thursday, the sponsorship agreement was signed by MWSC’s Managing Director Hassan Shah and Deputy Commissioner of Police Ali Rasheed.

This year’s theme for program is ‘I will take lead’; under which activities will be held for different age groups – with special focus on school students, youths and senior citizens. In this regard, awareness programs and sports activities will be held.

Participants of the program will be taught important life skills such as self-defense and first aid. They will also be given training on fire safety and domestic house wiring.

Apart from this, participants will also have lessons on etiquette in public places, good qualities and leadership.

MWSC said that their goal is to assist in the development of the community under its Corporate Social Responsibility.
