Young man in ICU after stabbing in Addu

A young man has been hospitalized with serious injuries after getting attacked with a sharp-edged weapon in Addu City.

Police state the incident was reported to authorities at approximately 03:00 am on Thursday.

The stabbing left a 21-year-old man injured, said the police.

He is being treated at the Addu Equatorial Hospital.

A spokesperson from the hospital told Sun the young man sustained multiple stab wounds, including to his hands and back.

The spokesperson said the condition of the man was serious.

He is being treated at the Intensive Care Unit of the hospital.

The case is under investigation by police.
