New cadets joining Maldives Police Service have taken their oath of office under Maldives Police Service Act.

The oath-taking ceremony was held at Iskandar Building’s multipurpose hall on Sunday. The oath was administered by Criminal Court’s Chief Judge Ahmed Shakeel.

A total of 74 new cadets took oath during the ceremony; including 70 police officers and four special constabulary constables. After taking their oath, the cadets had signed their respective declarations.

The oath-taking ceremony was attended by the Police’s Head of Human Resource, Chief Superintendent of Police Ahmed Nafiz; Head of Work Force Planning and Management, Superintendent of Police Ahmed Music and Inspector of Police Abdulla Shareef.
