Finance Ministry has re-issued an invitation for bids to procure over 800 tablets needed for the 2022 national census.

Finance Ministry announced on Tuesday that the Maldives Bureau of Statistics needed 812 tablets for the census, and that it was cancelling the bids submitted in response to the previous invitation, and was reopening bidding.

However, the Finance Ministry did not specify a reason for the cancellation of the previous bids.

Bidders are required to pay a MVR 500 non-refundable registration fee. The bid security for the project is MVR 33,000.

The bids will be opened at 10:00 am on April 25 at the Finance Ministry’s National Tender’s meeting hall.

The national census is scheduled to be held from September 17-30.
