MTCC contracted to develop regional ports in Kulhudhuffushi, Thinadhoo

Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has been awarded the Kulhudhuffushi Regional Port Development Project and the Thinadhoo Regional Port Development Project Phase II. 

The agreements for the projects were signed by MTCC’s CEO Adam Azim and COO Shahid Hussain and Maldives Ports Limited (MPL)’s CEO Shahid Ali and Chief Engineer Adam Mohamed. 

Under the MVR 138 million project in Kulhudhuffushi, MTCC will dredge the lagoon, build a new jetty, and install revetment and navigation lights. 

The company will also build an administrative building and a workshop, and conduct an Environmental Impact Assessment. 

MTCC is required to complete the project within 495 days

Under the MVR 17 million project in Thinadhoo, MTCC will build a port administrative building, a guardhouse, warehouse and workshop, and install a porch and navigation lights. 

The company is required to complete the project within 330 days.
