An 11-month-old girl born to a Maldivian couple died in a hospital in Thailand on Thursday, where she had been receiving treatment for cancer.
Zoe Adam Zalif Ahmed, diagnosed with skin cancer, died at the Vajira Hospital in Bangkok, Thailand, on Thursday. She had been receiving treatment at the hospital’s ICU.
Zoe, born to lawyers Adam Zalif and Khadheeja Ahmed, had suffered from poor health since birth.
The couple had been living in India with Zoe, their second child, for the first 10 months of her life so she could receive treatment. They took her to Bangkok in late November.
The cancer had spread to a large part of her body when she died.
