MTCC completes land reclamation and shore protection project at Maafushi

Maldives Transport and Contracting Company Plc. (MTCC) has announced the completion of the land reclamation and shore protection project at K. Maafushi. 

MTCC said that the project was completed on September 27.  

Scope of work under the project included the 25 hectares of land reclamation; construction of a 1,100m rock boulder revetment.

This project worth MVR 99.9 million was awarded to MTCC by the Ministry of National Planning, Housing and Infrastructure. It was initiated to solve the housing issues faced by Maafushi residents subsequent to the scarcity of the land on the island.
