Heavy Force contracted by Planning Ministry for Maroshi harbor project

Heavy Force Private Limited has been contracted by the Planning Ministry for the harbor project at Sh. Maroshi.

The agreement pertaining to the project was signed during a special ceremony held at Ministry earlier today. Director-General Fathimath Shaana Farooq signed the agreement on behalf of the Ministry – whereas Managing Director Ibrahim Zameer signed on behalf of Heavy Force.

Work under the project will include the dredging and excavation operations of 26,330 cubic meters and the installation of 202-meters of groyne as well as the construction of a 2,080-meter pavement

Additional work under the project include:

  •         Construction of 490-meter sand-fill breakwater
  •         Building a 131-meter outer sea wall
  •         Installation of 268-meters of revetment
  •         Installation of two navigation lights
  •         Building a 416-meter inner sea wall
  •         Installation of 75 mooring rings
  •         Installation 12 mooring buoy
  •         Construction of a walkway bridge between the outer and inner sea wall
  •         Construction of a ramp
  •         Installation of 20 street lights

The project is valued at MVR 43.3 million – and must be completed within 420 days.
