Two people who violated home quarantine rules to go to court and get married have been fined MVR 10,000 each.
The incident in question took place in GA. Vilingili.
According to a police spokesperson, the two people in question violated home quarantine rules by going to court to get married on Tuesday, May 11.
“Therefore, each of them have been fined MVR 10,000,” said the spokesperson.
The couple in question were in quarantine after travelling from Male’ City.
Vilingili was placed under monitoring this Saturday after two locals who had contact with a person in home quarantine tested positive for COVID-19.
