Yellow alert issued for most of Maldives due to bad weather

The Maldives Meteorological Services (Met Office) has issued a yellow weather alert for most of the Maldives due to impending bad weather and thunderstorms. 

The weather alert was issued from 15:00 to 17:00 for the areas from HA. Atoll in the North to L. Atoll in the South Central region. 

During this time, the Met Office warned that thunderstorms and heavy rains could be experienced in the regions of the alert. 

Wind speeds could rise to 3-13 miles per hour from the North North East, while seas are expected to be moderately rough.
