Luxury resort chain, Soneva has opened the world’s largest one-bedroom and two-bedroom overwater villas in Soneva Fushi, located in B. Atoll, a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve in Maldives.
The one-bedroom overwater villas measure 6,286 square feet, while the two-bedroom water villas measure 9,224 square feet.
Soneva Fushi has eight of these suites, called Water Rooms. They were unveiled on Friday, and are available for booking.
The eight large overwater villas have glass floor panels – allowing for a breathtaking view of coral and fish. They also have private outdoor bathtubs, wooden porches with sun loungers, pools, retractable roofs, and waterslides.
One-bedroom overwater villas are available for USD 2,626 per night, while two-bedrooms are available for USD 5,232.
In addition to the world’s largest overwater villas, Soneva Fushi has multiple restaurants, a kids club, tennis courts, an observatory, a dedicated reef for scuba diving, a glass-blowing center, and Cinema Paradiso – the largest outdoor movie screen in the Indian Ocean.
