Health Emergency Operations Center (HEOC) has announced that is searching for parties to arrange accommodation for frontline workers in the Maldives in operations against COVID-19.
Health Ministry stated in an announcement that payment of MVR 630 will be paid for one room with laundry arrangements while MVR 500 will be paid for just the room.
For full board accommodations, MVR 750 will be paid while on a sharing basis MVR 900 will be paid with the inclusion of two water bottles per day supplied to the rooms.
The rate food arrangements must also be notified by the guesthouse of the hotel if it is willing to provide food services. Other amenities such as towels, bedsheets, and pillow covers must also be provided by the hotel and should be changed once a week.
During the duration of their stay, the rooms and toilets must be cleaned twice a week.
The party which allocates the highest number of rooms will earn the maximum number of points, stated the Ministry.
Applications are to be submitted for the purpose before August 30. The accommodation announcement comes at a time when the number of COVID-19 cases in the capital city area is on the rise. The Ministry had arranged accommodation for employees previously as well.
