MTCC, Fenaka and RDC contracted to develop health facilities in 18 islands

Three state-owned enterprises – Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC), Fenaka Corporation and Road Development Corporation (RDC) – were awarded contracts on Wednesday to develop health facilities in 18 islands.

RDC was awarded contracts for four projects. They are:

  • Expansion of HA. Filladhoo health center
  • Expansion of M. Mulah health center
  • Construction of R. Meedhoo Hospital’s new building
  • Construction of GA. Dhaandhoo Hospital’s new building

The contracts were signed by State Minister for Health Ahmed Gasim and RDC’s Deputy Managing Director Mohamed Asbah Ali Naseer.

MTCC was awarded contracts for five projects. They are:

  • Expansion of HA. Uligan health center
  • Construction of HDh. Kumudhoo health center’s new building
  • Expansion of R. Innamaadhoo health center
  • Construction of ADh. Omadhoo health center’s new building
  • Expansion of Dh. Hulhudheli health center

The contracts were signed by Gasim and MTCC’s Managing Director Ahmed Saudhee.

Meanwhile, Fenaka was awarded contracts for nine projects. They are:

  • Expansion of HA. Muraidhoo health center
  • Expansion of HA. Thakandhoo health center
  • Construction of HA. Molhadhoo health center’s new building
  • Expansion of HDh. Neykurendhoo health center
  • Expansion of R. Kinolhas health center
  • Expansion of R. Fainu health center
  • Expansion of R. Rasmaadhoo health center
  • Construction of R. Maduvvari health center’s new building
  • Expansion of Dh. Rinbidhoo health center

The contracts were signed by State Minister for Health Ismail Shareef and Fenaka’s Deputy Managing Director Mohamed Arif.

The signing of the contracts was witnesses by Health Minister Abdulla Nazim Ibrahim, parliamentarians, and senior officials from government companies.

The signing of the contracts come after President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu recently announced plans to sign contracts for around 800 projects this year.
