29 employees of parliament placed in isolation

National Emergency Operations Center (NEOC) has announced that 29 employees of the Parliament have been placed in isolation after contact with a positive case of COVID-19.

The Maldivian Parliament was closed for decontamination after a member of the maintenance staff at the legislative house tested positive for COVID-19 on June 17.

The staff member that tested positive is a male employee who works at the maintenance department of the Majlis.

NEOC said that 29 employees in contact with the positive case had been identified. 11 employees who were in close contact with the individual were also identified.
