Home Minister of Maldives Mr. Imran Abdulla today met with the Home Minister of India, Mr. Amit Shah, during an official trip to India.
The two met in the Indian capital New Delhi today, according to a statement by the Indian government and conducted discussions to increase cooperation in security and law enforcement.

Discussions on capacity building, combating extremism, organized crime and drug trafficking were also held.
Maldivian Commissioner of Police Mohamed Hameed and State Minister of Home Ministry Ali Nazeer also took part in the discussions held today.

Minister Amit Shah is the leader of the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party of India.
The delegation of Home Ministry officials in India also met with the senior officials from the National Police Academy, National Investigation Agency, Narcotics Control Bureau as well as the Gujarat Forensic Science University.
