Elderly security guard attacked in Neykurendhoo

The security guard of H.Dh Neykurendhoo magistrate court was attacked by a group of people last night.

The altercation targeted the 60-year old guard of the court, according to council president Ali Adam. He said that the man was on his way to work when he was attacked around midnight.

The man suffered serious injuries to the head and legs and was being treated in the regional hospital in H.Dh Kulhudhuffushi. Adam said that he did not know the reason for the attack.

No word from the police regarding the assault is available yet.
