MVR 573 million spent on PSIP projects

Records released by Finance Ministry show MVR 573 million in spending on Public Service Investment Program (PSIP) projects budgeted for the year.

The total cost of PSIP projects budgeted for the year is MVR 10.45 billion.

Records released by Finance Ministry on Thursday shows MVR 573 million had already been spent.

The heaviest spending had been on health and social services with MVR 40.9 million.

Other expenditures from the PSIP budget included MVR 32.2 million on land reclamation and road development, MVR 29.3 million on transport, MVR 13.3 million on education, and MVR 11.7 million on housing and infrastructure.
