Police investigate rape case of 15-yr old

Police have begun an investigation into a 15-year old’s rape in an island in the North Central region of the country.

The case was reported last night.

The number of rapes, child abuse and sexual abuse cases being reported in the country has seen a sharp increase lately. A case of a stepfather who raped his stepdaughter was reported just two weeks.

Calls for justice to such crimes by the public have also amplified and the President has announced that a policy of “zero tolerance” will be implemented towards such crimes.
