President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih and Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi are scheduled to launch four projects in the Maldives today.
President’s Office spokesperson Ibrahim Hood informed “Sun” that a ceremony to hand over a fast interceptor craft by India to the Maldives will be held today.
MNDF announced the hand-over of the 27-meter-long craft last October. Apart from this event, other projects will also be commenced today, according to Hood, who did not provide any further details. The President and Prime Minister Modi will be taking part in these events via video conference.
Information attained by “Sun” appears to indicate the remaining projects set to be launched today are the project to install LED lights in Male’ city and the launch of the three fish processing plants installed in the Maldives with the aid of India.
