Committee to report Dr. Muizzu to police over dishonesty in Noomadi case

Parliament’s Public Accounts Committee has decided to report former Housing Minister Dr. Mohamed Muizzu to the Police over providing untrue statements in the case regarding Noomadi Resorts and Residences.

Noomadi received MVR 845 million from the state as compensation. The case was investigated by the Public Accounts Committee which summoned the former Housing Minister to clarify the payment. the Committee accuses the former Housing Minister of providing false information to the Committee.

The decision to report Dr. Muizzu to the Police was taken in today’s Committee meeting.
