Laboratory services introduced at Kanduhulhudhoo health center

G. A. Kanduhulhudhoo has introduced laboratory services at its health center.

Kanduhulhudhoo health center’s in-house lab was inaugurated by Chief of Staff of President’s Office, Ali Zahir this Saturday.

Health Ministry, in its statement marking the inauguration of the service, noted the convenience it awarded to residents of Kanduhulhudhoo who previously had to travel to either the G. A. Gemanafushi health center or the G. Dh. Gadhdhoo health center – which both lie at least 20 minutes away by boat – in order to obtain lab services.

The machinery and other resources to equip the lab were transported to Kanduhulhudhoo in September.

Other islands in G. A. Atoll which have in-house labs at health centers are; Vilingili, Dhaandhoo, Gemanafushi, Dhevvadhoo, and Kolamaafushi.
